Kourion Ancient Theatre

A Greco-Roman theatre carved into a cliff edge, with the sea filling the whole horizon behind the stage — easily the most dramatic seat in Cyprus. The site keeps going beyond it: the mosaics of the House of Eustolios, baths, a forum, all above a wild pebbly beach. In summer they still stage plays and concerts here, two thousand years on.
